Our Furry Visitor

My cousins left for Tahoe for the weekend and we are babysitting their dog, Bugsy.

So far he's been spending most of his time sitting near the sliding backyard door and barking when he hears or sees something. Both D and I would tell him over and over "Bugsy stop, there's nothing out there" as if he were a kid who we can comfort with words. Yea, we should know that wouldn't work with that one. A funny thing that happened today was when they went after one another's food. I left for just one moment after I put both their food down for them to eat. When I came back Bugsy was heading towards Snoopy's food and Snoopy was going into Bugsy's. I yelled "hey NO! NO! NO!" and at that moment, Snoopy ran off rapidly, dropping the all the dog food from his mouth as he goes, and leaving a trail of about 6 pieces. Bugsy, on the other hand, paused when he heard my voice. But as soon as I stopped at my last "no!" he rammed his entire head into the bowl and didn't stop until I pulled him away. As of right now, D's wiping their paws to get them back in the house. Our backyard has been really muddy for the last few months and Bugsy's not scared of getting dirty or wet. Snoopy, on the other hand, follows Bugsy everywhere so we end up wiping 8 dirty paws and two bellies each time they come back. oh goodness. Well tonight we will have a third dog over and we'll be waking up at 6 AM to take her to the airport so she can be back with her parents in Boston. I wanted to take her early because I know Lay and Kristina wants her back ASAP. And I know I would be be so sad if I was waiting for Snoopy to be sent to me. I love my dog.

  1. Thanks Savy, I have Tiki withdrawals! That would have been 12 paws and 3 bellies. I don't like to be mathed, but that one wasn't too bad :)
